Thinking of moving to Georgia and someone has suggested that you look at real estate in Berkeley Lake, Georgia? Located in Gwinnett county to the north of Atlanta, Berkeley Lake, Georgia has a small population of well under 5,000. So if you like peace and quiet, maybe that was the reason that someone suggested that you look through the Berkeley Lake, Georgia real estate listings to look for potentially suitable Berkeley Lake homes.

Despite it’s small size, the price of Berkeley Lake, Georgia real estate is well above the average for the state of Georgia. Homes in Berkeley Lake sell on average for just under $400,000. This saves a trip down to Gwinnett county and makes the whole process much easier and quicker, not only for building your own home but if you’re planning to buy one of the existing Berkeley Lake homes and expand it.

For those of you who prefer to rent in the area first and get to know it before buying a home, you may have a little bit more trouble trying to find something. As Berkeley Lake realtors will tell you, renting is not popular in Berkeley Lake. Generally most real estate in Berkeley Lake is up for sale and not for rent.

With it being a small community with an educated population, Berkeley Lake, Georgia is not the place for everyone. But if you like participating in community life, maintaining the environment and love wide open spaces then perhaps buying a little piece of Berkeley, Georgia real estate could be the right move for you.
